CAFT’s Board Members are composed of industry experts with strong backgrounds and remarkable achievements in both finance and technology, and who each continue to make their mark in Cambodia’s growing fintech community.
Remi Pell
Remi a graduate of La Sierra University with a degree on International Business is an entrepreneur & investor who has multi-industry experience in the sectors of banking and financial services, travel and tourism, and lastly fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) personal care products. Remi started his career with Bank of America which is one of the prominent global financial services company that was the first to offer coast-to-coast banking in the U.S. Remi before his appointment of CAFT Chairman served as its Board Treasurer since 2019 when it was first founded.

Tomas’s been handling multiple roles, including CEO and co-founder of Pi Pay Plc., Board Director, Secretary-General of CAFT, founder of D.Q.D Group as well as Mentor for 500Global and Independent Board Director & Chairman of Audit Committee for FWD Insurance, and other board and advisory assignment.
Tomas’s core areas of expertise are fintech and tech ventures and its impact on legacy industries, innovation of business development, strategic planning & growth tactics, and M&As & investments for early stage opportunities.

Dara, a renowned female C-suite executive in Cambodia, has dedicated 16 years to advancing financial inclusion. As a French Cambodian, she leverages international expertise and deep local industry knowledge to enhance fintech accessibility for Cambodia’s ‘unbanked’ and ‘underserved’ populations, including youth. In her role as Acting CEO of TrueMoney Cambodia, Dara has driven significant customer growth and profitability. She champions FinTech for Social Good, believing it can positively impact society. Dara’s views on fintech and the importance of women in finance are frequently highlighted in local media. Passionate about financial literacy and inclusion, Dara serves as an inspiring role model for professionals.

Pechkorsa Nak
Mr. Nak Pechkorsa serves as the Chief Technology Officer & Chief Information Officer at Sathapana Bank. With over 20 years of technology experience, he has worked with international companies and financial institutions. Before joining Sathapana Bank Plc., he held the position of Head of Information Technology at J Trust Royal Bank. Mr. Pechkorsa has an impressive background, having worked at ANZ Royal Bank and J Trust Royal Bank for over eight years. He holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Norton University and a Bachelor of Economics Informatics degree from the Royal University of Law and Economics. Additionally, he is certified in ITIL, COBIT, CPISI, ISO 27001:2013 ISMS Lead Implementer, and ISO 9001:2015.
At Sathapana Bank, Korsa has delivered the digital transformation agendas across product portfolios included Digital Banking, Retail Banking and Business Banking. Korsa has built the critical mission to strengthen the digital foundation (Enhance Infrastructure Agility, Improve Delivery performance, Create self-service technology platform), Accelerate transformation (Adopt Cloud Computing, Adopt Open API, Build Data Platform), and Serve the business (Deliver Business focused projects, Enhance IT alignment to Business, IT as a Service & Business Partner.

Thomas Schings
Global financials, crypto, emerging markets, private investments and devil´s advocacy are Thomas’ specialties. Currently, Thomas focuses on building and developing the securities sector in Southeast Asia and specifically Cambodia.
Employed by the Royal Group of Cambodia, Thomas is enabling projects to come to life; helping Royal Group and the Cambodian economy to enter that next stage of development.
As the General Manager of the Royal Group Exchange (RGX), the only licensed digital asset exchange in Cambodia, Thomas is on the forefront of blockchain development in Cambodia.
Next to RGX, Thomas is also building the Fund Management industry by heading the operations of Royal Group Funds (RGF), a licensed Fund Management Company under the Securities and Exchange Regulator in Cambodia (SERC).
Previously, Thomas spent 5 years with The Association of Banks in Cambodia, working alongside the private banks to advocate primarily with the National Bank of Cambodia on all matters related to the financial sector.
